Become a Member
The Association of Ontario Midwives is the professional body representing midwives and the practice of midwifery in the province of Ontario. Only Ontario Registered Midwives (RM), formerly registered midwives, and midwifery students currently enrolled in the MEP or IMPP programs are eligible to become members.

If you are a graduating midwifery student (New Registrant), or a midwife returning to practice, please contact the AOM membership department for more information and voting member application forms.
Midwifery students or formerly registered midwives may apply to become non‐voting members of the AOM. If you are a midwifery student or formerly registered midwife and would like to join, download a membership form and mail it to the AOM with a cheque your annual membership fee.

Membership with the AOM is for the calendar year (January 1 - December 31).
Non-voting membership with the Association of Ontario Midwives includes the following benefits:
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Midwives, including a subscription for the Canadian Journal of Midwifery Research and Practice (CJMRP) (optional for formerly registered midwives)
- Reduced student rates at AOM education events such as the Annual General Meeting and Conference
- Free registration for new AOM Clinical Day and Leadership Workshops
- AOM newsletter "Ontario Midwife" will be emailed to you
- Access to portions of the Members Only area of the AOM web site. Once logged in, you can access reference material, update your personal contact information, register for events and more
- Eligibility to participate in AOM task forces and work groups – volunteers join meetings in person and by phone, so you don’t need to live in the Toronto area to participate
- Invitations to attend Regional Member Meetings (held in the spring and fall)
