Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) comes into effect July 1, 2014.

This law ensures Canadians can decline to receive commercial electronic messages (CEM) from organizations at any time.

By unsubscribing to CEM, AOM members will miss out on these types of important email messages from the AOM:

  • Conference information
  • Event notifications

  • Webinar registration info

  • ESW locations and schedules

  • Membership renewal reminders

Note that all members will continue to receive email that is not deemed a CEM, such as:

  • Newsletters
  • The Bulletin

  • Important health notices

  • Funding Flash

  • Legal Action updates

  • Regional meeting reminders

  • AGM information

Still want to decline some AOM emails?

To unsubscribe from CEM from the AOM, send a message with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line.

If you have any questions, please contact Arnie Levitan, Director, Finance and Operations.
