Support Midwifery

Visit www.ontariomidwives.ca to support midwifery in Ontario!

Several communities support the practices in their area directly. Local consumer groups often host information sessions, movie nights, picnics and other events in support of midwifery in their community. They work with local midwives to promote midwifery care to families, media and stakeholders. Often, these community groups have the most important voices when it comes to starting a new practice, gaining hospital privileges or other community-centred work.
